Before we get started, we wanted to thank you for taking the time to read our finance blogs and following us! Your support means a lot to the whole team and we’re excited to be able to share post-launch updates with you.
To those of you who are email subscribers, you have already seen these updates in our July newsletter. To everyone else, this blog post is a little different than usual. Before we begin, we want to make it clear that transparency is one of our key pillars, and therefore you deserve to know as much as possible about us. So, without further ado, here are the highlights from our first month of operation.
1. We launched our online investing platform and started the “Emperor Teaches” blog
In late June, our pure-equity, goal-based investment platform became available to the public. To kick off the launch, we also started our blog, Emperor Teaches, which is a meant to be a learning hub for anyone who wants to know more about the world of finance (and in some cases, a little more about Emperor).
Our first post was written by our co-founders, Brenna and Francis, and was an introduction for readers wanting to know who we are and what we stand for as a company. If you haven’t already,¬†check it out¬†to learn more about our investing philosophy, how we came to be, and if Emperor is the right fit for you.
2. We made a splash in the media
Being the first robo-advisor to acknowledge lackluster ETF performance was a bold move, but it paid off. In just our first month, we have been featured in outlets such as Forbes, Private Banker, BestRoboAdvisor.org, Wealth Management, Business Wire, and more!
3. We updated our blog and started a podcast
We love educating investors, whether they be novice or experienced. We noticed early that fear of loss was a large hurdle for potential investors to overcome. So, we pushed our second blog post, defining market volatility and reminding readers to think of investing as a long game.
We also recognized that people get busy and don’t often have the time to read anything outside of the news. That’s why we started the¬†Emperor Teaches Podcast, hosted by our CIO professor Francis Tapon, so you can learn more about the world of finance on the go.
Our first episode is an introduction to Harry Markowitz, the man behind Modern Portfolio Theory:
4. And finally, we helped you pick your next vacation
Picking a dream vacation can be a daunting task if you don’t know where to start. That’s why we created a quiz to help you narrow it down - before we help you save for it. Take the quiz below!
That’s all for this month!
Thank you for being a part of our first month and continuing to support us as we grow. To learn more about Emperor, click below to visit our homepage or send us an email at¬†[email protected]¬†- we’d be happy to answer any questions!
